AdSense for search allows website publishers to provide Google web and site search to their visitors, and to earn money by displaying Google ads on the search results pages.

Adding AdSense to your pages is easy. Once your application is approved, just log into your account, customize your ad unit, and copy and paste a block of HTML code into your website. You're welcome to place ads on any acceptable site-- without re-applying.

With Google's extensive AdWords advertiser base, we have ads for just about all categories of businesses and for practically all types of content, no matter how specialized.

Google technology matches the most relevant and highest performing AdWords ads to your website. And since Google provides the ads, you don't have to worry about maintaining advertiser relationships.

Customizable default ads means that in the unlikely event that Google is unable to serve targeted ads on your page, we provide the option to display a default ad of your choice.

How do I get paid?
You get paid whenever someone on your site clicks on one of the AdSense ads. Advertisers can also bid to appear on your site on a CPM (cost per thousand impressions) basis. Both CPC and CPM bids compete in our AdWords program to ensure that you optimize your ad revenue.

Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT)
We have an EFT payment system available in a number of countries, which will help get your AdSense earnings delivered directly to your bank account every month without any additional effort.
How much do I get paid?
How much you earn depends on a number of factors including how much an advertiser bids on your site -- you'll receive a portion of what the advertiser pays. The best way to find out how much you'll earn is to sign up and start showing ads on your web pages.

Introducing Google Gadget Ads

Today we launched Google Gadget Ads, customized "mini-sites" that run as ads on AdSense publisher websites. These ads are interactive, engaging, and will appeal to your users, simultaneously providing value to advertisers while getting visitors to stick around your site. The end result is that advertisers get more engaged users, users have a richer ad experience, and publishers opted in to image ads may see increased competition for their ad space.

What does a gadget ad look like? We're glad you asked. Below is a gadget ad that we've built to advertise our AdSense program.

Gadget ads can take a number of shapes, sizes, and formats. If you're interested in seeing other cool gadget ads, you can check out our Google Gadget Ad Center. Also, please rest assured that gadget ads must adhere to our editorial policies, so there won't be any distracting "punch the monkey" ads.

Ready to start displaying gadget ads on your website? While there's no guarantee that they'll appear on your site, you can increase the chances that they'll be shown by making sure you're opted in to image ads and using one of the image ad formats. Please note that the most popular sizes for gadget ads are the rectangle, leaderboard, and skyscraper formats.

Also, keep in mind that there are a few things advertisers look for when targeting their ads to specific sites.

Got questions about gadget ads? We've got answers -- check out our Help Center.

AdSense for search launches in Vietnamese

Following our announcement about Indonesian in July, we're happy to let you know that AdSense for search is now available in another southeast Asian language: Vietnamese. Vietnamese publishers can now offer users Google search capabilities while generating revenue from ads on the search results pages.

As we've done in the past, we'd like to celebrate this launch by providing you with a few fun facts about Vietnam:
  • Vietnam is shaped like a narrow 'S'. Even though Vietnam is 1,650 kilometers (1,031 miles) from north to south, the country gets as narrow as 50 kilometers (31 miles) across.

  • Vietnamese is the seventh most spoken language in the United States and sixth in Australia. According to the Ethnologue, Vietnamese is also spoken by substantial numbers of people in Canada, China, Finland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, and the United Kingdom.

  • Vietnam is the world's second largest exporter of coffee and rice.

Maximizing AdSense Revenues via Up-Selling

If you go into any Blockbuster Video store, you quickly notice the company’s use of a classic marketing technique – up-selling correlated products. This technique is highly effective at maximizing Blockbuster’s revenue and profit per customer. Moreover, this same technique can be applied to websites using Google’s AdSense program.

Up-selling is defined as selling additional, often higher priced, products and services to current customers. Ideally, the upsold products are correlated to the initial products – that is, they fill the same, or similar customer need that the first product did. Blockbuster up-sells its rental customers by offering them new and previously owned videos for sale. It also groups videos and posts signs saying “if you liked this video, you’ll like this video” spurring rentals of the new video.

To show how this technique can be applied to Google AdSense, let us look at an example of a painting website. To begin, it is critical to understand that by enrolling in the AdSense program the “product” that this website is selling is the keyword “paint” or “painting” as these keywords will show up in the AdSense results posted on their web pages. It is also critical to understand the price of these keywords, or how much the advertiser pays when someone clicks on one of their ads (a portion of which is passed on from Google to the owner of the painting website). In this case, top advertisers are paying approximately 19 cents for the keyword “paint” and 45 cents for the keyword “painting.”

By applying the technique of up-selling correlated products to the painting website, the website owner could dramatically increase the price of its products and the rate at which people buy (click on) the product. Like in the Blockbuster example, the key is to first determine expensive, correlated products to up-sell. In the painting case, one keyword that quickly comes to mind is “home remodeling” as painting is often part of a larger home remodeling project. Moreover, “home remodeling” has a price of $1.70, or nearly nine times the price of “paint.” Furthermore, finding keywords correlated to “home remodeling” yields even more expensive keywords such as “home improvement loan” which currently has a price of $6.50, or thirty-four times the price of the original term “paint.”

Now that the more expensive and correlated products have been identified, the website owner must create web pages with quality content about these products and entice, via text and links, visitors to go to these pages. The higher quality the content, the more enticing the product or service becomes, and the more likely a visitor is to click on one of the high paying AdSense ads.

In summary, by simply posting AdSense ads on their websites, most website owners are losing out on significant profits. Rather, they must identify the most expensive keywords that are correlated to their existing keywords and create web pages with quality content about these pages. While this requires some work, the returns on this investment are significant.

Can you still make money with Adsense?

Google Adsense is an advertising program created by Google, and which is beginning to be explored by other search engines, such as Yahoo and MSN – that allows you to put targeted ads on your website. If you run AdSense on your site you know that some words pay more than others, much more in fact.

5 Genuine Adsense Opportunities

Over the last few days. we’ve categorized over 20 great opportunities that represent a genuinely potential good return on investment. Most sources online today only show the highest bid estimate for a particular keyword or keyword phrase. This is a completely ill-informed methodology in evaluating adsense keywords and their potential value.

9 Adsense Case Studies

Here are 9 more Adsense Case Studies worth further consideration. They include keywords from the categories; Legal, Medical, Publishing, Real Estate, Rentals, Telephony, Travel, Vehicles and Web.Some are ok. Some are really good. Create quality content in areas that interest you and that is a great 1st step to developing a site that is successfully monetized with Google Adsense. I don’t focus on the the highest bid keywords, just the best in my opinion based on the various other attributes of the keyword.

Adsense Keywords - Can you trust only the highest bid estimate?

The short answer is no. There are tons of sites online displaying lists of hundreds or even thousands of keywords and there highest bid. Well guess what? There almost totally useless. The reason lies in the fact that (a) you have no idea of what the advertiser is bidding and it is the 2nd advertiser that dictates the 1st bidders cost per click. But even worse, you have absolutely no clue of what the Top 10 advertisers are paying. Bids may dramatically drop so by advertiser 7 or 8, it’s down to a few cents.

Adsense Traffic and Project Black Mask

After the hype over Project Black Mask recently, created by the same team that brought us Affiliate Project X and Day Job Killer, I decided to buy it and see whether it really was worthy of all the buzz it created. What I found surprised me.

Allows you to dramatically improve earnings from Google's Adsence Program

The TopPayingKeywords database presents the keyword prices of the 360,000+ keywords that have search engine bid prices of $1 or more. By identifying the highest paying keywords on the Internet, the database allows website owners to dramatically improve earnings in Google’s AdSense™ program.

How to Profit from Knowing the Most Expensive Keywords

By knowing the most expensive keywords on the internet, you can create websites and web pages based on these keywords. On these sites and pages, you can serve expensive ads and/or promote affiliate offers that reap high bounties when clicked or completed.

Google's AdSense a bonanza for some Web sites

LOS ANGELES — Canadian software developer and part-time humorist Eric Giguère made fun of the avalanche of Internet arthritis drug offers on his Web site last year. For his efforts, he received a $350 check from Internet search giant Google.
